Varsity Club

The Beckman High School Varsity Club was founded in the spring of 2005 as a means of forming a group of male and female student-athletes to represent Beckman High School in a positive light on campus and in the community.

It is our belief that the members of the BHS Varsity Club will serve as representatives of our school and therefore strengthen the community in which we live, work, and compete. It is through the collaboration of club activities and service that the members will strengthen the bond between the school and the local community.

The Varsity Club members must do ordinary things extraordinarily well. They shall become a living sign of what it means to be a model Beckman Student-Athlete. The Varsity Club may be restricted in membership, but it is for all members to share and encourage all students who participate in varsity athletics at Beckman High School to become part of this very distinguished club.

As for the members who continue beyond Beckman High School, this is not the end, but the beginning of a life-long venture. Membership in the Varsity Club extends beyond the physical school ground. The members will continue to serve their communities as they did when they were young Patriots.

This organization has been developed and will grow through the years, as will the club’s many members. May we continue to grow and encourage all others to do the same!

The Varsity Club is an organization committed to maintaining the fine tradition of Patriot Athletics. The Varsity Club seeks to unify past and present student-athletes, coaches, and administrators, for the purpose of:

  • Maintaining and advancing the traditions and spirit of Beckman High School Athletics.
  • Providing our current student-athletics with an avenue for learning leadership and team-building skills.
  • Providing a vehicle to rekindle old friendships and build new ones.
  • Creating a direct link to the Beckman High School Athletic Department.
  • Acting as a service organization for the students, parents, faculty, and alumni of BHS, as well as the local communities that surround Beckman High School.
  • Spreading the “Character Counts” mission throughout our campus, while pursuing victory with honor and accepting defeat with class.

The Varsity Club accepts applications in the fall and spring of each school year. Please contact Steve Fischel, Athletic Director (sfischel@tustin.k12.ca.us), for requirements and any other questions you may have.
