Community College Classes

If the IVC class you are interested in is offered through Dual Enrollment at Beckman, please complete the following steps to enroll:

• (Examples: Business, Kinesiology, Dance History, Nutrition, Human Development, and Criminal Law)

STEP 1: Apply to IVC

*new IVC students only*

• Click here to apply. 
• NOTE: *If it’s your first time taking courses at a Community College, you must also create OpenCCC account

STEP 2: Submit CCAP Form

• Click here for CCAP webpage.
• Click on "How do I complete the CCAP Dual Enrollment Form?"
• Select "Arnold O. Beckman High School" and login with your IVC credentials.

STEP 3: Add class using Ticket number & APC code on MySite

• Click MySite to Add class
• *You will receive your APC code via email from Mrs. Tomlinson once your CCAP is approved.

STEP 4: TRANSCRIPTS WILL BE SENT AUTOMATICALLY TO BECKMAN (FROM ivc) WITHIN 4 WEEKs

General overview of concurrent Enrollment (K-12) at IVC:

• Irvine Valley College (IVC)

Is the class not offered at Beckman and you are still interested in taking it (known as a Concurrent Enrollment Class), please complete the following steps to apply and enroll:

STEP 1: Apply to IVC

*new IVC students only*

• Click HERE to apply. Follow instructions for Step 1-3. 
• NOTE: *If it’s your first time taking courses at a Community College, you must also create an OpenCCC account

STEP 2: Submit K-12 Form

• Click HERE for K-12 webpage:

  • Click on “How do I complete the CCAP Dual Enrollment Form?”
  • Select Arnold O. Beckman High School and log in with your IVC credentials 

STEP 3: Add class using Ticket number on MySite

• Login to MySite to Add class
• Click HERE for video instructions on adding a class in MySite.
• Your assigned registration appointment is shown in MySite.  Students must pay Health Fee. 
• *If you are adding the class after the start date you will have to reach out to the IVC professor for an APC code. 

STEP 4: REQUESTING TRANSCRIPTS

• Students must request an official transcript from the Community College to be sent directly to your Beckman counselor within six weeks of course completion to include it on the Beckman transcript. Two ways to submit official transcripts:
  • Electronic: Request an official transcript be sent from the community college to Beckman HS directly utilizing the community college's transcript service (i.e. Parchment). List Mrs. Jennifer Lindquist as the recipient her email is jlindquist@tustin.k12.ca.us
  • Sealed Envelope: Request an official, sealed copy, of the transcript and hand-carry it to the Beckman HS counseling office. 

Once the Community College grade is posted to the transcript, it cannot be removed or changed.

1. Identify the community college and the course you want to take. - Students: Check the prerequisites to see if you qualify for the course and if space is available.
2. Follow the community college’s K-12 Program enrollment steps on their website (see above).
   1. For Golden West College (GWC) ONLY: Online K-12 Forms will automatically be submitted to parent email and then administration for signature.
   2. If the college does not have an online process, email the completed college K-12 form PDF (AKA: Special Admit Form) to drafter@tustin.k12.ca.us
3. Students must request an official transcript from the Community College be sent directly to your Beckman counselor within six weeks of course completion to include it on the Beckman transcript. Two ways to submit official transcripts:
