Applied Medical Elective Pathway
APPLIED MEDICAL PATHWAY
The Applied Medical Pathway allows students to explore the science, application, and foundations of athletic training and sports medicine. Students are CPR certified and complete their capstone course through dual enrollment with Irvine Valley College, earning college credit while in high school. Students practice hands on treatment techniques and can participate in internships.
Computer Science Pathway
COMPUTER SCIENCE PATHWAY
The Computer Science two-course pathway explores the multidisciplinary approach to the principles of computation, making real-world connection from the classroom to careers. Students are introduced to the principles of coding, abstractions, algorithms, cybersecurity, and networking. Through collaboration and by applying critical thinking, students address real world computer science challenges, broadening their knowledge and skill set for an advancing technological world. Information and communication technology professionals support virtually every business and industry in the region - now that's job security!
Engineering Pathway
ENGINEERING PATHWAY
The Engineering Pathway allows students to explore mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering. This three-course pathway is a hands-on, project-based experience for students interested in engineering design, development, and robotics. Students work in teams to excel in engineering and robotics competitions, host events, and earn SolidWorks certification. As we surge forward in a highly automated world, the integration of STEM knowledge and skills will prove defensible and highly coveted by employers.
Media Arts Pathway
MEDIA ARTS PATHWAY
The Media Arts Pathway sets the stage for students to write, direct, create, edit and produce a wide variety of media from film to podcasts. Students produce the weekly broadcast which is aired to students and staff at their school site as well as capture footage of campus events. In our growing digital world, the skills and knowledge needed to create experiences and engage viewers and listeners is highly coveted. Take action on your future and enroll in Media Arts.
Graphic Design Pathway
GRAPHIC DESIGN PATHWAY
Graphic Design pathway instruction simulates an advertising or creative studio where students develop logos, ads, and posters for clients from the school and community. Projects include designing marketing materials and promotions for the Performing Arts Department and school activities. Students are trained in utilizing Adobe Suite software, including Illustrator and InDesign. As students advance through the pathway, they will learn methods of creating 2D art such as print making, silk-screening methods and using the laser cutter. Examples of these projects and an archive of student work can be found at www.manningartclass.com, under the clients link.
Visual Imagery Pathway
VISUAL IMAGERY PATHWAY
The Visual Imagery Pathway allows students to dive into the art and mechanics of storytelling through media. Students use a wide variety of content as their subjects, and industry grade equipment and software to edit and perfect their vision. Show the world what life looks like through your lens in the Visual Imagery Pathway!
